Frank McKinlay is a world-class guitar player. A veteran of a few thousand rock and country gigs, he has recorded and toured with Nashville artist, Johnny Reid, and with jazzer, Jim Norman & Grafite. That band featured the world-famous, jazz-giant talents of Tiger Okoshi, Oliver Lake, Alex Blake, members of the Boss Brass, some of Bruce Cockburn's band ... and Frank. That's pretty heavy company! Steve Piticco (world-renowned country guitar picker) loves to play bass and when he does, he hires Frank to play lead guitar.

A few years ago, Frank's playing and his singing made quite an impression on, Nashville superstars, Ronnie Dunn and Kix Brooks, Keith Urban, Toby Keith and Montgomery Gentry. With their encouragement and with Johnny Reid's help, Frank started making songwriting trips to Nashville.

"Time Flies" (co-written with Johnny Reid and Cyril Rawson), appears on Johnny's Open Road/Universal CD Born to Roll. The song clawed it's way up CMT's Chevy Top 20 Countdown and stayed on the chart for a number of weeks! A poignant song with a very powerful lyric, hauntingly beautiful music (and a great video), it also makes an appearance on CMT's Top 20 Tearjerkers of all time, right between Alan Jackson and Willie Nelson! That's a good place to be!

Recently, Frank returned to university to complete a Bachelor of Music degree and to pursue graduate school.
